We have had a ton of rain and my lilly finally bloomed! :) Isn't it pretty! This is my back deck at the condo in Princeton NJ.

Johnny's first visit to our new home!

Mark's Mom left on Friday morning and our good friend John arrived on Friday afternoon.

We had another amazing visit with him. We went to NYC and took in Jersey Boys on Broadway and then out for a nice dinner.

John is gone now too so we are looking forward to our next visitors! :)

This is Mark and John in front of the Newark airport as we were saying good bye. :(

Mom's 75th birthday celebration and first ever trip to the East Coast!!!

The last night we all went to dinner at PF Changes for a birthday celebration before Mom left. It was a great night of Chinese food and fun. We are sad it is almost over! :(

Here we are at Battery Park before heading over to Ellis Island and Liberty Island.

This is at the entrance of Battery Park. This was once a beautiful piece of art that sat at the Twin Towers before the terrorist attack. It has been placed here with a gas flame in remembrance of that horrific day and those who lost their lives. It is now all twisted and melted.

The Statue of Liberty was probably one of the most impressive structures I've ever seen. You all need to go there someday.

It is truly amazing.

Here we are just about to ferry over to the Statue of Liberty. This was neat for mom to be standing where her very own Mom first arrived in the USA!

Some day, this spot will have towers again.

Ground Zero is still a very emotional place. Here is a fence full of plagues in memory of all that perished on 9/11/2001.

It is now a huge construction site but still so sad to realize what happened there that day.

And then there was the Red Line Bus tour of the City. We got off at Ground Zero and walked to Battery Park for the ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty. This was another very fun day.

Mark and Mom at his office!

We went to Pharmasset and showed Mom around the office and introduced her to everyone. They all wanted to meet the woman who birthed a guy like Mark ! :)

Top of the Rock...another unique experience. You can see the City for miles. It gives you a great perspective on the magnitude of NYC. I think Mom really liked this!

Lion King was amazing. The costumes were so cool. Other than Mark having a little girl throw up at his feet...it was great! Yes, a little girl got sick and was trying to get out in the middle of the performance but didn't quite make it! She stopped and lost her cookies right at Mark's feet! Poor little thing! We survived and they cleaned it up at intermission! Now...you have to admit, that makes for a memorable experience!

Relaxing in Time Square before our Lion King show. Mom overheard a girl sitting at the table next to us who said she really wanted to go to South Dakota! So, needless to say she said to her "I'm from SD!" and they had a nice little chat!

This was another trip on the train...this time to NYC for Lion King and more siteseeing!!!

Rockefeller Center...Top of the Rock...what a view!

Mom at the David Letterman Show Entrance...Ed Sullivan theater.

All smiles :)

Here we are in Times Square! Yes...sitting in Times Square! They put lawns chairs out so you could sit down, relax and enjoy the sites! CRAZY

This is Mom at Macy's; we went all the way to the top...which I believe was the 9th floor. We thought this chandelier was pretty....so hey...another photo op! :) We discovered the higher we went the more expensive the price tag!!!

Needless to say...Mom was awestruck initially by NYC! It is kind of a take your breath away kind of experience that first time you come up out of Penn Station underneath Madison Square Gardens and look up at the City!!!

Mom's first train ride to the City!

I found my Kentucky Derby hat! We had SOOO much fun in this shop. Mark & I both bought hats and everyone was trying hats of all kinds on.

Fun day...

Mom and Mark!

There was a big waterwheel and the shops were all in a big circle around this beautiful green, park-like area with fountains, gazebos, etc.

What a fun place Peddler's Village was...full of quaint little shops.

Across the bridge and into PA we go!!! From New Hope we went to Doylestown where we shopped in Peddler's Village.

This place smelled great!!!! We bought a little chocolate & Mark also picked up some very authentic black licorice that came from Australia...very strong but good.

We laughed because the door was about 18" wide or less...not sure you could eat much chocolate and fit through that narrow opening!!!

Mom and I found this neat little cemetary where George Washington's pall bearers were laid to rest. Needless to say, it was a very very old cemetary!

This was a neat little corridor open to the public...there was a garden in back.

Love this cathedral in Lambertville! Look at what a great day we had!

We took Mom to Lambertville Station in Lambertville NJ and went across the bridge to New Hope PA...saw some great sites and had a really fun day again! :)

We've had a lot of rain here so the flowers and trees & shrubs are really pretty.

More beauty to behold!

This was such a cool building right in the heart of Princeton University's campus. Such great history here...

I took Darlene to Palmer Square and we had lunch and walked the campus of Princeton University. What a gorgeous campus. We had a fun day touring, eating and shopping!

Sharon and Jim had us over to their home and we relaxed by the pool and had a barbeque. It was great; we met several of their friends and enjoyed a day in the sun! Thanks Sharon and Jim...

Amy's birthday

We met up at Witherspoon Grill and celebrated Amy's birthday...Kristin, Michelle, Amy, My and Deena :) Great group of friends that I have had the privilege to meet since coming here to Princeton.
