November 21, 2009 Erin and Michael's wedding

The lights made pictures a challenge for my little digital but enjoy the journey through an amazing weekend of celebrating a new love and beginning of a blessed marriage!
Erin and Michael....we wish you all the best!!!!!

Now that is a special picture....Candi's four children, plus Michael and Troy and Mom, Dad and Luther.

Three very special people....Luther, Dad and Mom having a conversation between good friends. These guys have always loved each other and though space between Brookings SD and Chicago IL is great, it is like old times when they see each other again. :)

Candi, my little sista and me :) We DO have a lot of fun together!!!! I was so proud of you Candi. You did an amazing job with this wedding. Will you help me when the time comes????

Carly and me....love you Carly.

Troy and our sweet niece Carly! She sang at the wedding; it was incredible.

The bride, Erin, looking extremely happy; the night before the wedding...

Cam and his dad...we all love you two!

Aunt Dina and Ryan....when did those boys grow up Dina??? What happened to serving them hot dogs over the camp fire at Lake Poinsett??? They will always cherish those memories.

Ryan and Tara at the rehearsal...

Josh and Jennifer; two pretty special cousins...more like brother/sister I think. :)

Dano and Josh at the rehearsal dinner. Lots of yummy pasta was had by all!!!

Uncle Mark and Mandy....two peas in a pod. :)

Josh and Meredith (Mere) born on the 12th of June a year apart. They are pretty close!!!! Cute Cuz's aren't they!

Mark and I made it til the 35 year mark and then we had to sit down!!! We are at 32 years .... not bad for two 19/20 year olds that some thought would never make it, eh!?!?!

Mamamia and me :)
The boys and their grandma....plus a few twinkley lights! :)

The cousins!!! Erin is the first married cousin!!! :) Way to go Erin. We are so happy for you and we all think Michael is awesome!

Ryan's new Hyundai Genesis ~ November 2009

It worked out well that Mark and I were in Madison the day Ryan's car came in. We got to witness his first big purchase. It was exciting.

Ryan and Joel, his car salesman...

I think these two are friends for life. They seem to really hit it off. It was cool that Ryan got his car in Madison. Joel was awesome. You ever want to buy a new car at Zimbrick, Joel is your man!
It was so fun to be there on Ryan's big day. He was pretty excited about his new car.

Ryan's new car!!

NYC October 2009

Here we are in Washington Square. What a beautiful clear day in NYC. Our good friends Ellen and Joel took us to the city today. We drove to Hoboken and then took the Path Train into the World Trade Center and then walked A LOT!
Ellen and Joel took us to the famous WoHop chinese restaurant in China Town. This little basement restaurant has some of the best Chinese you will ever eat. It is famous for being referred to in movies like Miss Congeniality.
It was so much fun to eat here and experience a new place!

Okay now this was weird! We walked through China Town and saw things we have never seen before like......deer tendons for $28.00/lb. And dried scallops for $50/lb. Then we walked into one of the stores and saw jars of abalone for $888.00/lb. When we asked what it was we were told it was a very healthy sea creature and when made in some kind of soup/stew the Chinese find it a medicinally healthy broth for good health! I think I would have a heart attack paying that much for a dried sea creature! :)

Next time we are going to eat in Little Italy on the sidewalk cafes and then go here for dessert! :) I can't wait for our next trip...
